The seventh edition of The North Face Polish Freeskiing Open went off last weekend, 29th – 30th of January, in Zakopane (Poland). More than 50 international freeski riders competed in two contests – Big Air and Rails. Roy Kittler from Germany took all by winning Big Air, Rails and Night Session competitions. The prize for the first place in woman’s category went to Natalia Slepecka (Rails) and Zuzana Stromkova (Big Air) both from Slovakia.

Szczepan Karpiel defend a title of Freeskiing Champion of Poland. Moreover the four unsponsored juniors get their chance to become proriders by getting to the final of The North Face Ski Challenge in Val Thorens.

After two days of hard competition in a fantastic snowpark built specially for TNF PFO 2010 on Harenda Slope in Zakopane best riders were chosen to share 50 000 prize purse. On the first day riders were fighting for a place in finals. Per Christian Fosse was a king of a big kicker (17,5m) and Roy Kittler won qualifications in Rails, as well as jibbing night session.

But Saturday was definitely the day to be for all fans that came to watch finals and semi – finals. After semi-finals, PC Fosse (NOR) that showed unbelievable Kangaroo Flip, seemed to be a 100% winner. However the situation has changed after Roy Kittlers (GER) switch double Cork 900 – trick that made him number 1 in the Big Air. The second place was taken by Jonas Hunziker (SUI) and the third by PC Fosse.

The best of Polish riders – Freeskiing Champion of Poland – was fourth in overall standings, Jan Krzysztof took second place, before Piotr Wojarski.
Also fans that came to watch the Rails final weren’t disappointed. Roy Kittler (GER) won in Men’s Rail and Natalia Slepecka in woman’s category.
