What I have done lately

Sorry for the bad update lately, but I simply have not had time to blog.

What I have done in the past..

First, I have lived in a big boat in the Sognefjorden where I have recorded a series with NRK that will go on TV next year.
Performance like: Lasse Kjus, Karina Hollekim, Fridtjof Fredricsson, Anja gardli, Magnus Tveito, Tom Erik Heimen with several, was to play into this.

Arrival day

Me and Frido were the two single twin tip riders, so we made a couple BC Kickers we jumped on. Film clips were some of the coolest I've ever seen, much due the backdrop where we had the Sognefjord as background 1000 m below us.

dub flat 9
We went there for almost 6 weeks, so I've learned a lot of new things and become familiar with many cool people.

at the goatfarm

It should be noted that I have been totally raw in the kitchen, haha!

Watching footage

Fortunately, I got 2 days break where we went to Hemsedal to run Helly Hansen Invitational, the competition in Norway with the highest level in my opinion.
I won Crowd Please part where I made a Dub Flat 9 Japan topless and landed almost in the bottom, frido won both style and spin to win. So it was a successful trip there.

When we went back to the boat, i did my very first basejump ever from a bridge, it was so freakin awsome, so scary and funny at the same time, super stoked to get the chance to try that, im pretty sure that it wasnt my last time to jump basejump.

The jump!
A big thanks to Tom Erik Heimen!!

Now i have been riding with Faction Skis for a year, and all i can say is that i am super stoked on the skis. I simply love the design and the function, super light skis but still stabile. Just as I like it!

Faction Kennedy

Not long ago I was on the glacier with Field Productions and had a kicker shoot there.
It was a very successful kicker shoot that I'm super stoked on! All the riders got some nice shots. the riders were; myself, Aleksander Aurdal, Anders Backe, Ole Mustad and Maria Bagge

Returns to Folgefonna next week with Chaoz Productions to film a bit and get some more summer skiing going on, so it's something I look forward to much!

Norwegian Open etc.

Hey!

Sorry for the lacking update..
But much have happend and i have just forgetten to write at my blog!

My first Norwegian Open contest, was at Kongsberg.
I got second place after Thomas Dolplads. it was a really fun contest with good weather and the stoked-o-meter was high. The jump was super sick!!! soooo much hangtime, and a poppy kicker, just the way i like it.

3: Steffen Hamre/Aleks Aurdal..1: Thomas Dolplads..2: PC Fosse..

And after Norwegian Open at Kongsberg i decided to attend the Norwegian Open at Norefjell. There i met up with some guys from NTG.
When i registrated i was the only guy in the Senior Class.. wich sucked!

But after the finals, it was price awards, and Johan Berg won the 13-15 class, Lasse Nyhaugen won the 16-19 class, and i won ofcourse the senior class..

But when they was giving away the award for best over-all (the man with the highest point of everyone) the yelled out my name.
So it was a very fun day afterall. So stoked to get first place!
Here is a link from NRK who covered the comp (copy the link)

After that i am going to stay at andreas place for the Backyard battle hosted by Andreas Haatveit. i will cruise around in his park, but at the comp i am going to be a judge.

And after that.. I am leaving for Bomba Big Air at Storlien hosted by Steffen Hamre and Bomba energy drink.

PFO 2010

All the text is from www.pfopen.pl

The seventh edition of The North Face Polish Freeskiing Open went off last weekend, 29th – 30th of January, in Zakopane (Poland). More than 50 international freeski riders competed in two contests – Big Air and Rails. Roy Kittler from Germany took all by winning Big Air, Rails and Night Session competitions. The prize for the first place in woman’s category went to Natalia Slepecka (Rails) and Zuzana Stromkova (Big Air) both from Slovakia.

Szczepan Karpiel defend a title of Freeskiing Champion of Poland. Moreover the four unsponsored juniors get their chance to become proriders by getting to the final of The North Face Ski Challenge in Val Thorens.

After two days of hard competition in a fantastic snowpark built specially for TNF PFO 2010 on Harenda Slope in Zakopane best riders were chosen to share 50 000 prize purse. On the first day riders were fighting for a place in finals. Per Christian Fosse was a king of a big kicker (17,5m) and Roy Kittler won qualifications in Rails, as well as jibbing night session.

But Saturday was definitely the day to be for all fans that came to watch finals and semi – finals. After semi-finals, PC Fosse (NOR) that showed unbelievable Kangaroo Flip, seemed to be a 100% winner. However the situation has changed after Roy Kittlers (GER) switch double Cork 900 – trick that made him number 1 in the Big Air. The second place was taken by Jonas Hunziker (SUI) and the third by PC Fosse.

The best of Polish riders – Freeskiing Champion of Poland – was fourth in overall standings, Jan Krzysztof took second place, before Piotr Wojarski.
Also fans that came to watch the Rails final weren’t disappointed. Roy Kittler (GER) won in Men’s Rail and Natalia Slepecka in woman’s category.

For the first time this year four best, unsponsored riders aged 12 – 20 get their ticket to the final of freeride and freestyle competition - The North Face Ski Challenge in Val Thorens. The titled sponsor will cover all costs of the trip of Stanisław Kastory, Janek Daniel Gąsienica, Jakub Kozioł and Pavol Kuric to the competition finals in March.

In the semi-finals it was 3 jumps, and the best 2 counted.
